I moved
I created a new Xanga. I won't be using this one anymore. I'm not entirely sure why I created a whole new one. I barely used this one and for reason I felt like in order to really start posting regularly I had to start something new. So I did. A few of the posts on here I may repost on my new one if it's something I like but most of it will be brand new. Eventually I think I'm gonna delete this one.
You can find me at http://theslowdrug.xanga.com/weblog.

I Feel Cream

I saw peaches last night! It was so fucking amazing. She is so bad ass. I can't get over how awesome and how insane she is. At one point she jumped out into the crowd and stood up (us holding her up by her feet) and she grabbed onto the ceiling and told us to let go and she just hung there and then fell on top of us. Then she ended up on the other side of the place standing on the bar. She was awesome. I seriously love her. Her band was great too. Especially her guitar player. Who I should mention is also a kickass woman. and fucking gorgeous. If there was anybody in that room guy or girl (even the straight ones) who didn't want to do her then there is seriously something wrong with them. I'll put up pictures some other time.

True Blood: The Complete First Season (HBO Series)

"Our system of law is designed to protect the minority from discrimination by the majority. If this ruling stands unchallenged, what's next? Will some states repeal a woman's right to vote? Will some states (again) forbid interracial marriage? Will some states deny housing, or jobs based on religious preference?
If they can legislate against what they call a "sexual preference" what is to stop them from legislating against religious preference? People choose their religion. We choose to believe or not to believe in God. So what is to stop the majority in any state from discriminating against those who do not share the majority religious preference?
This is THE civil rights battle of our generation. We must not back down."

see relatedWords of advice from the "real world."
1. The only way to succeed is if you LIE YOUR ASS OFF.
2. Make sure that everything you write and say is complete BULL SHIT. Be careful not to let a bit of REALNESS slip out.
3. Do not, under any circumstances, reveal your true self. Cover yourself up like hell. FAKENESS is the key.
4. CONFORMITY should be number one on your to do list.
5. Be a sheep! Do not be seen away from the herd.
6. Do not use your brain. Think like a zombie. Zombies are good role models.
7. Remember, THINKING is bad.
8. Plastic surgery is highly recommended, because unless you look PERFECT you are BUTT UGLY.
9. Don't eat. EVER.
10. Watch TV ALL THE TIME. Remember, everything said on TV is TRUE. It's not lies that corporations want you to believe. If someone tells you this, report them to the government, or shoot them.

see relatedTherapists/ Psychiatrists
I've been to many of them. Here's my biggest issue with them: they don't know what they are talking about! Now of course they do to an extent. They've read all the books. They know all the symptoms. They can tell you exactly whats going on in your brain. But do they really understand the things they are talking about. from what I've experienced the majority of these "doctors" only know text book answers to our problems. But can a pill really be the solution? What do these doctors know about feelings? A psychiatrist should be the kind of doctor that can put a side the text book for a minute and pay attention to feelings instead. But they simply look at these feelings as another symptom for something strictly chemical. But things aren't that simple.
When it comes to emotional/ mental disorders I strongly believe that you can't fully understand it unless you've been through it. I had a therapist once who had some serious issues with depression when she was growing up. This is what lead her to decide to become a therapist. She wanted to do as much as possible to prevent others from suffering the way she did. Because of this she knew what she was talking about. In order to truly help someone you should understand what they are going through. Unfortunately my mom stopped taking me to her. My mom liked to refer to her as "the wacky lady." I'm not entirely sure why.
The reason I'm talking about this is because I've recently been seeing the counselor at my school. I find it hard to believe that a counselor could possibly actually care (I mean really care) about every single one of their patients. But they could at least pretend to a little bit. She doesn't at all. Everything is strictly business. Now of course it has to be to an extent but how the hell do you expect me to share my feelings with you when you act like you're bored in my presence? Everything she says is so rehearsed. I swear she sits and writes down all the questions she's going to ask me before I come in. Which in itself isn't a bad thing but she always seems to be expecting a certain answer from me. If I don't say what she wanted me to say she'll repeat the question.
I can't stand it. I can't stand how people say they care when they really don't. I can't stand how almost every therapist or psychiatrist I've ever been to doesn't really know a thing about what they're talking about or what they're medicating. They expect us to be zombies. And when we're not they blame it on some kind of problem, some kind of disease.
